Hi there, We need to convert all our hyperlinks into from fully qual (i.e. file:///drive:\folder\file.doc) to relative (folder\file.doc) but your program forces us to replace with something.. Although I;ve never come accross a replace function before that wouldn't let you replace with nothing..
In the past we have used frontpage's hyperlink function to perform this but it's not playing game at the mo - suspect its having trouble with files on a local disk.
How long would it take to change it so we could replace [file:///drive:\] with [nothing]?

Hi Oliver, Thanks for updating that so quickly :D I actually found it VERY hard to evaluate your program because it only replaces 10% of the files so looked elsewhere and found Word_SR which seems to better handle the _vti_cnf folders that FrontPage creates, but it also has some different problems such as seems unable to update hyperlinks with folders containing two or more consecutive spaces in their names.. Are you able to able to email me a trial with less limitations? We are happy to purchase this product if it offers some functionality Word_SR doesn't... Thanks again

Hi,
10% limitation is connected with number of files which means that in case that you have one prepared file with all options that you want to test ReplaceMagic will make changes in it.
Basically that means that in case that you have, in test folder, 10 files ReplaceMagic will work only with 1, in case that you have 100 files it will work with 10 files, etc... Minimum is always 1 file so my recommendation is that you create one big file with everything that you want to test and then run ReplaceMagic.
In case that you buy product and tell us that there is something that application can not do and we confirm that after our test with your file you will have 30 days money back guaranty.
Looking on all data migrations where ReplaceMagic was involved I am 100% confident that it will work perfectly :-).
Btw. we published yesterday new version (2.0.5) which supports entry of multiple passwords to open documents which is useful in case that you have a lot of protected files with different passwords.
I hope that this helps a little.
Best regards, Oliver
