What you get in the trial
The trial is fully functional – every feature, every link type, every report. The only limitation is volume: SmartMapper generates Search/Replace keys for the first 100 documents of the scan, and those are the documents ReplaceMagic then repairs.
Scanning itself is not limited. Scan as many documents as you like – only key generation is capped. If the scan contains fewer than 100 documents, all of them are included.
The documents included in the trial are always the same ones, taken in scan order. Re-running the trial does not produce additional keys – the limit is deterministic by design.
Note – the trial limit depends on how you use ReplaceMagic. If you enter search and replace strings manually, the trial processes a percentage of the scanned documents (around 10% of scanned documents). If SmartMapper generates the strings for you, the trial covers the first 100 documents.
This lets you validate the complete process end to end: scan a real environment, define real rules, inspect real converted links and confirm the quality of the result on genuine documents of yours – before purchasing.
What the full version adds
- Search/Replace keys for all scanned documents, without limit.
- Replacement processing of your entire document set.
Purchasing and unlocking
- Obtain a licence from www.replacemagic.com or your ReplaceMagic reseller.
- Enter the licence in ReplaceMagic.
- Re-run SmartMapper once. This step matters: the trial deliberately did not generate the keys for the remaining documents, so they must be produced now. Use the same RunID and the same mapping rules – the run simply regenerates the key set, this time complete.
- Run the replacement in ReplaceMagic as usual.
You do not need to re-scan your documents after purchasing. The scan data is unaffected by the license – only key generation needs to be repeated.
