Configure SharePoint Content Approval for Migration
Download ReplaceMagic Videos: How to use ReplaceMagic
Libraries with content approval track whether each document is Approved, Rejected or Pending. Saving a changed document can reset an approved file to Pending, so a bulk link repair could silently unpublish content your users rely on. ReplaceMagic can read the approval status before it changes a document and restore it afterwards.
Keep Content Approval Status
If a library uses content approval, this setting restores the document’s original Approved, Rejected, or Pending status after processing. Without this option, an approved document may revert to Pending after modification.
Configuration Location
Open the Configuration button on the main ReplaceMagic form, then navigate to the SharePoint tab. Enable Keep Content Approval Status before running replacements against a library that uses content approval.
Content approval preservation requires appropriate rights
Restoring the content approval status of a document after processing requires that the processing account has permission to approve and reject items in the library. Without approval rights, ReplaceMagic will complete the content modification but will not be able to restore the approval status.
